I have, in the past. Although I must warn you that most road racers will frown upon the term crotch rocket. We prefer sportbikes.

Thanks for the info paperclip...maybe it's just the motocross racers that like to refer to them as that...from now on I will refer to them as sportbikes

Its usually the harley riders who refer them to crotch rockets to be honest. Usually add a little bit of attitude when they say it too

So.....I guess im screwed. I ride a Buell Lightning Sportbike...most sportbike riders dont acknowledge Buells as sportbikes (i've found). And Harley riders dont care for us much either even though the bike is mostly Harley components. I guess i'll keep riding and letting there girls stare at me

I don't get much flack from the Harley crowd in Oklahoma. Most crotch rockets look on with amazement when ever they see then here me go by. Can’t wait for the new pipe. How is that new scooter working for you? mrdozer. Did you get the bugs sorted yet? Back to subject, no road raceing just a bit of drags with a old Kawasaki 15 years ago or so.

| Most racers will say they (buells) are not sportbikes, and I think I actually said that in another post. To me they are more of a sport touring bike. They sit more upright than most sportbikes. However, they are sweet looking bikes, especially with the see through panels! | ||

| No pun intended, just pointing out the cruiser/chopper community call the sportbikes that, not the sportbike riders themselves. | ||

Around here road racing is very very illegal. Of course being a rural area AND being that 99% of the local police force are involved with the racing....it's so not an issue!
